The Supervisor of Elections Mr. Lister Dudley Lewis has published the Declarations Forms for Candidates who have put themselves forward for the General Elections schedule for December 15, 2016.
The 52 nominees including 7 independent Candidates were duly nominated on November 18, 2016 in accordance with the legal requirements and the list of nominees published.
The declarations submitted to the Supervisor of Elections has now been published and the list available for viewing on Government Website www.gov.tv.
Section 50(2) of the TCI Constitution require the Supervisor to publish Candidates declarations to allow public security.
The Constitution also makes provision for members of the public and the Attorney General to challenge any of the nominated Candidates regarding their eligibility within five (5) days of publication.
