With less than two months away from the start of the 2019 Atlantic Hurricane Season, the DDME has increased it’s proactive preparedness activities throughout the Turks and Caicos Islands. Over seven critical training workshops have been successfully completed across all islands to improve local capacity and resource mobilization to respond to the hazard threats and impacts.

The Director of the DDME Dr Virginia Clerveaux, continues to urge all residents and stakeholders to step up their personal level of preparedness from today. “It is never too early to prepare, and if you fail to prepare you are truly preparing to fail.”
