A delegation from the Port Authority of the Turks and Caicos Islands is currently in Jamaica as part of an ongoing initiative to enhance professional development and strengthen regional partnerships within the maritime sector.
During the visit, the team is engaging with officials from the Kingston Freeport Terminal Limited (KFTL) and the Port Authority of Jamaica, where they are participating in knowledge-sharing sessions focused on safety protocols, access control, terminal operations, risk assessment, and overall terminal management.
The programme also includes a guided tour of the Port of Kingston, giving the delegation a firsthand look at the port’s operations and best practices in one of the Caribbean’s leading maritime hubs.
The Turks and Caicos delegation is led by Training and Compliance Manager Sharonna Brown and includes Security Officer Alicia Smith from Grand Turk, along with Laura Logan and Rolando Dor from Providenciales.
The Port Authority expressed its appreciation to its Jamaican counterparts for their warm hospitality and the opportunity to exchange ideas, strengthen collaboration, and build lasting regional relationships.
