GENERAL SITUATION: A high pressure ridge and Saharan dust plume are maintaining warm, hazy, and generally stable conditions across the Turks and Caicos Islands today.
SPECIAL WARNINGS: A Dust Advisory is in effect for the Turk and Caicos Islands. Residents with respiratory illnesses and sensitivities should take the necessary precautions to safeguard their health.
The public is advised to wear protective clothing and sunscreen and seek shaded areas while outside during peak sunshine hours (11am – 4pm), as UV indices are expected to be in the very high to extreme range.
