A Child’s life, which is brought to you on Radio Turks and Caicos by Learn and Lead Educational Center, is a Wednesday morning segment that strives to tackle subjects related to helping your children and teens with their academics as well as suggest some positive parenting techniques. Topics explored range from Childhood stress, to learning disabilities, to healthy television watching habits and beyond. Parents, teachers, guardians and anybody with an interest in children and adolescents are encouraged to tune in weekly. A Child’s Life strives to present relevant information to its listeners. The host of a ‘A Child’s Life’ is Yolande Robinson. Yolande Robinson recently moved to the Turks and Caicos Islands from Canada. She is a special education teacher and McGill Alumni. She has Bachelors in Elementary Education and a Masters in Educational Psychology from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Yolande has worked in school and library environments since 2000, and has been a qualified teacher since 2004. She is currently a special education teacher at a primary school on the island of Grand Turk. In April 2009, Yolande opened an educational center in Grand Turk. Learn and Lead Educational center provides services for both parents and their children. They specialize in consulting services as well as helping children with learning difficulties and disabilities reach their potential. Their mission is to provide a confidential, caring, creative and compassionate environment where students with exceptionalities are empowered and taught how to recognize and optimize their full potential in order to become the leaders of tomorrow.
