Today has been declared a day of national mourning in the Dominican Republic out of respect for the people who died in Monday’s fiery explosion in San Cristóbal.
President Luis Abinader said all flags must be flown at half mast in military compounds and public buildings throughout the country.
At least 27 people have been killed as a result of the explosion.
More than 30 people are still in hospital nursing injuries that range from broken bones to severe burns.
Monday’s fire and explosion occurred at a bakery in the city, which lies just west of the capital of Santo Domingo.
Fire officials are still trying to find what caused the deadly explosion.
