The event was done to honour JAGS’ life, leadership, and his legacy, while celebrating his invaluable contribution to the development of the nation. During the relay RTC Caught up with Member of Parliament and Baton Carrier Hon. Sharon Simons to discuss the importance of the event and her experience a baton carrier.
The Relay ended at the parade grounds where a short ceremony was held and moderated by Hon. Robert Hall. The attendees heard from the head of the TCI commonwealth games association, former teachers and district commissioners. Take a listen to some of the highlights.
Following the relay, attendees gathered at the Parade Grounds for a featured exhibition cricket match with the Titans Cricket Club, adding a spirited and engaging highlight to the evening’s activities.
