Two Sworn members of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force has been arrested and charged on Wednesday 17th August 2016.
The two who were on administrative leave since 8th October 2014, were charged with Acts of Corruption and Theft. The charges stemmed from an internal investigation into a report of corrupt practices by both officers in respect of the handling of seized exhibits made sometime in October 2014. The investigation was conducted by Senior Investigators of the Organization.
Both officers were taken to the Magistrate’s Court and are presently on bail until 7th October 2016 for a sufficiency hearing in the Supreme Court.
Both officers will be suspended.
