The people have spoken, and tonight their favorites will be revealed when the 2016 People’s Choice Awards airs live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
The Weeknd leads the list of music nominees this year, with an impressive five nods including Favorite Male Artist, Favorite Breakout Artist, Favorite Album, Favorite Song and Favorite R&B artist. In the Favorite Male Artist category, he’s up against Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber and Nick Jonas.
Taylor Swift, Madonna, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez and Lana Del Ray are all vying for the Favorite Female Artist prize. Taylor also nabbed a nomination for Favorite Song, for “Bad Blood” featuring Kendrick Lamar, while Madonna is up for the Favorite Music Icon award.
The Favorite Group category includes Fall Out Boy, Fifth Harmony, Imagine Dragons, Maroon 5 and One Direction.
The ceremony will also feature performances by Jason Derulo and Shawn Mendes, who’s up for Favorite Breakout Artist. The People’s Choice Awards airs at 9 p.m. ET on CBS. Jane Lynch is hosting.
