Officers of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force are seeking the public’s assistance in finding the culprit (s) who may be responsible for attacking an elderly man at his home on Grand Turk over the past weekend.
A complainant reported on Saturday 20th February 2016, he went to visit his 89-year-old friend on Hospital Road, Grand Turk and found him sitting in a chair with his face swollen. The elderly man stated that during the early hours of the morning he was awakened by an unknown male who dragged him out of his bed and beat him about his body then placed a knife around his throat before taking off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The 89 year old was then taken to the Cockburn Town Medical Centre where he was treated and released.
Investigations are ongoing into his matter.
