The Office of the Deputy Governor of the Turks and Caicos Islands is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Stephanie Forbes-Johnson to the post of Vice Principal of the Clement Howell High School within the Ministry of Education, Labour, Employment and Customer Services.
Hailing from Sandy Point, North Caicos, Mrs. Forbes-Johnson holds a Teachers Diploma in Secondary Education from Mico Teachers College in Jamaica and a Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Leadership from the University of Roehampton in the United Kingdom.
Mrs. Forbes-Johnson joined the public service in September 1996 as a Secondary School Teacher of Mathematics and Social Studies at the Raymond Gardiner High school in North Caicos and in October 2001 relocated to the Clement High School in Providenciales as a Mathematics Teacher.
From September 2008 to 2014 she served as Year Supervisor for Form 5 students, and in 2014 was promoted to the post of Head of Department with responsibility for overseeing and managing the members of the Mathematics, Music and Physical Education Departments.
Commenting on her appointment Mrs. Forbes-Johnson stated:
“Giving God Almighty all the thanks and Praise, I am pleased and honored to accept the position of Vice Principal, at the Clement Howell High School.
I pride myself in having a great passion for the teaching and learning profession, the position, and the entire team.
It has been a pleasure to learn and grow under the various leadership of the Clement Howell High School. I am delighted to take up this appointment and look forward to the new challenges and opportunities this new position presents.
I will continue to work hard in collaboration with the other members of the Clement Howell High Community to make our school a continued success.”
Deputy Governor and Head of the Public Service Her Excellency Anya Williams in extending congratulatory remarks to Mrs. Forbes-Johnson stated:
“Congratulations is extended to Mrs. Stephanie Forbes-Johnson on her appointment as Vice Principal of the Clement Howell High School.
Building on the earlier appointments of Ms. Shanta Seymour to post of Principal and Mrs. Nadra Wilson-Kirlew to the post of Vice-Principal, we are certain that with over 20 years of experience in the teaching profession Mrs. Forbes-Johnson will be an asset to the senior management team of the Clement Howell High School.
