The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force charged 2 persons following an operation last week where officers received injuries. 

Stanley Noel is charged with three counts of assault on a police officer and one count of inflicting grievous bodily harm. 

Marie Clara Noel is charged with one count of assault on a police officer and one count of inflicting grievous bodily harm. 

Both persons appeared in the Magistrate’s Court today November 18th.

Yesterday, November 17th, road stops continued… Thirty-seven (37) officers from the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force, the Royal Bahamas Police Force, Immigration Enforcement Officers, and staff from the Road Safety Department were involved in road checks in the Grace Bay and Long Bay areas. 

Nineteen people were detained under the Immigration Ordinance, 80 road vehicles were checked, 45 tickets were issued, five vehicles were seized and towed and more tints were removed from vehicles. 

These operations, which focus on community safety and security issues, will continue across the Turks and Caicos to prevent and detect crime, while at the same time, enhancing road safety and compliance with legislation.
