The Turks and Caicos Islands is set to strengthen its connectivity with Canada as Porter Airlines launches new non-stop flights from Toronto and Ottawa to Providenciales, offering Canadian travellers greater access to one of the Caribbean’s premier luxury destinations.
Beginning November 6, 2026, Porter Airlines will operate five weekly flights between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Howard Hamilton International Airport (PLS) in Providenciales.
The airline will also introduce twice-weekly service from Ottawa International Airport (YOW) starting December 17, 2026.
The new routes mark a significant expansion of airlift from Canada, one of the Turks and Caicos Islands’ fastest-growing source markets.
Increased connectivity is expected to boost visitor arrivals during the winter season while providing travellers with more options and convenience when planning their Caribbean escapes.
The service forms part of Porter Airlines’ expanding winter programme and reflects growing demand among Canadian travellers for the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Minister of Tourism, Hon. Zhavargo Jolly, welcomed the announcement, emphasizing Canada’s growing importance to the destination’s tourism strategy.
He noted that Experience Turks and Caicos has invested heavily over the past year in travel advisor training, tour operator engagement, and strategic marketing and public relations initiatives across Canada and we are seeing the results of those efforts.
Minister with Responsibility for Aviation and the Turks and Caicos Islands Airports Authority, Hon. Arlington Musgrove, highlighted the critical role air connectivity plays in supporting tourism and economic growth stating that the announcement reflects growing confidence in the destination and underscores the Turks and Caicos Islands Airports Authority’s ongoing efforts to develop strategic airline partnerships and expand service opportunities.
The new routes will be operated using Porter Airlines’ Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, featuring 132 seats with no middle seats and the airline’s signature elevated economy experience.
