Academic excellence took centre stage at The Raymond Gardiner High School’s graduation ceremony on Wednesday July 1st 2026 as CIBC Caribbean introduced a new award to recognise exceptional achievement in Business Studies.

Demonstrating its ongoing commitment to education and youth empowerment, CIBC Caribbean contributed $750 towards the school’s graduation celebrations and presented the inaugural CIBC Caribbean Top Business Student Award.

The honour was awarded to Valedictorian Tania Herrera, whose outstanding academic performance in Business Studies earned her both the prestigious recognition and a CIBC Sure Start Account with an opening balance of $500.

The introduction of the award underscores CIBC Caribbean’s continued investment in education, financial literacy, and the development of future business leaders. The bank intends for the award to become an annual tradition, celebrating students who excel in Business Studies while encouraging greater interest in careers in business, finance, and entrepreneurship.

CIBC Caribbean extends its congratulations to Tania Herrera and the entire graduating class of The Raymond Gardiner High School, wishing them every success as they embark on the next chapter of their academic and professional journeys.
