
The Integrity Commission takes great pleasure in announcing the appointment of Mr. Eugene Otuonye QC as its Director and Mr. Simon Baker as its Investigative Officer with effect from 18 July, 2011. The appointments have been made in accordance with Section 15 of the Integrity Commission Ordinance, 2008 and have followed strong competition for both positions and a rigorous assessment and selection process by the Commission.
Eugene Otuonye comes to this role following 26 years of legal practice in the public and private sector, including being the Attorney General of Monserrat and Deputy Attorney General of TCI. Most recently he has successfully served TCI as the Chairman of the Public Service Commission and as a member of the Advisory Council.
Simon Baker joins the Integrity Commission following 33 years of policing experience in the UK, of which the last five years have been spent with the Metropolitan Police in the Fraud Squad and Counter Terrorism Command. In the last two years he worked on attachment with the UK’s Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA).
The Integrity Commission wishes to extend its sincere thanks to Mr Keith Sargent the outgoing Director of the Commission who has worked tirelessly to lay the foundations of the executive arm of the Commission. The Integrity Commission wishes him well in his future endeavours.
