As of the 2 pm EDT NHC Advisory, Hurricane Melissa is a Category 2 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 100 mph and is moving northeast at 15 mph. The center of Melissa is located 195 miles west of Providenciales.
Tropical storm force winds and heavy rains are still likely for Providenciales, North Caicos, and Middle Caicos later today into tonight.
While, the islands of South Caicos, Grand Turk, and Salt Cay can expect windy conditions with a chance of showers this evening.
