Following a release made by the Attorney General, Huw Shepherd, upon his return to the Country regarding his views of the criticisms of his re-appointment as the Attorney General of the Turks & Caicos Islands, the Premier, Hon. Dr. Rufus Ewing also made clear his position on the matter.
“As I have stated repeatedly, I have nothing against Huw Shepherd as a person. However, I have questioned the actions taken by him during the period of the Interim Administration and during the period of the elected government.”
“As a government, we will continue to press the Attorney General for the answers to the questions that we have asked of him, and we will continue to apply pressure for his recall by the Governor and the FCO.”
