The Royal Turks & Caicos Islands Police Force (RTCIPF) have charged an undocumented Haitian male with four counts of Robbery and also with one charge of Burglary.
Police will allege the man was responsible for four Robberies and a Burglary which were committed on the island of Providenciales sometime in October, November and early part of December 2013.
Police will also alledge that the undocumented Haitian male was involved with four robberies in which he brandished a firearm to commit these crimes which were:
• A convenient store on Cooper Jack Bay, in which a sum of cash was stolen.
• A convenient store on Millennium Highway, in which a sum of cash was stolen.
• A jewelry store at Market Place, in which a quantity of jewellery was stolen. Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) were able to recover most of the stolen jewellery.
• A restaurant located in down town Provo, in which a sum of cash was stolen.
Additionally, the undocumented Haitian male was also charged for a Burglary in connection to a report made at a business place located along South Dock Road. It was reported to police that during the commission of this Burglary, a quantity of tools and a sum of cash were stolen.
The undocumented Haitian male was taken before the Senior magistrate sometime in December 2013 on one count of Robbery and a Burglary charge. Bail was denied and he was remanded in custody pending a sufficiency hearing date. He will be returning to court some time later this month (January 2014).
