US drug giant Merck confirmed Tuesday it has become the first American company hit by a global cyberattack that started in Russia and Ukraine has spread through Europe and across the Atlantic.
“We confirm our company’s computer network was compromised today as part of a global hack. Other organisations have also been affected,” Merck said on Twitter.
“We are investigating the matter and will provide additional information as we learn more.”
