“As we continue to strengthen our senior management team across government I am pleased to announce these new appointments and to congratulate our two new Permanent Secretaries and 5 new Deputy Secretaries on their well-deserved appointments.
These appointments follow on from an open recruitment process which attracted over 30 applications and involved both psychometric testing and in person interviews before appointment.
We are extremely pleased with these appointments, particularly the fact that they all reflect promotions from within the civil service which is key for us in ensuring that opportunities for upward mobility continue to be made available for our staff, as well as opportunities for new starters to join the public service.
Recruitment is currently underway for additional Deputy Secretary positions in the Ministries of: Finance; Home Affairs; Health and Infrastructure.
Work is also underway to recruit the vacancies that now exist as a result of these new promotions.
We continue to encourage all interested parties both within and outside of the public service to consider the opportunities available in the public service as we continue to seek to build a world class public service that is efficient and effective in its response to the needs of the people of the Turks and Caicos Islands.”
