The Ministry of Physical Planning and Infrastructure Development has informed RTC news that a substantial amount of money for major capital improvements in Grand Turk will be commencing shortly.

Over 8 million dollars has been allocated in capital projects for the nation’s capital over the next 12 months.

Currently under construction is the West Road and Pond Street bridge work at an estimated value of $636,000

Projects to commence in the next few weeks consist of:

Upgrading and repairing drainage as well as other site works at the HJ Robinson High School for $1.4 million

Remediation works for the ponds, under the ponds and bridges project totaling $2.11 million, and major road works totaling $4 million dollars
