The PABA league is set to resume today Thursday January 9th at the Gus Lightbourne Sports Center.  

In a brief conversation with the President of PABA, Sydwell Glasglow, ‘It was a challenging 2013 for the PABA as we started this new season 2013/14. However, we are almost on track.’ He said, ‘to have a successful tournament we need the support of every player and the fans to keep these games alive.’ He ended by once again inviting the public as they restart.

Coming off the holidays the GT Stallions and The South Caicos Harbor Boys remain undefeated. 

 

RTC has learnt from the score board that the leading scorer for the league thus far is Troy Saunders of the Predators with 88 points followed by Saundro Jermain of the Police Badgers with 61 points after 3 games while in 3rd place is Mervon Forbes of the J&D Collectors with 56 points.

 

Turning our attention to the school league, the PABA high school development league will kickoff next weekend with 7 high schools in Provo competing for the PABA HIGH SCHOOL title. Clement Howell high, BWIC and TCIPS are the leading teams thus far.

 

New for 2014 will be the launch of the ITA Junior Development program, this will commence on Saturday January 11th at the Graceway Sports center. The program will run from January 11th to April 12th, 2014 from 9 am to 10.30 a.m. Glasglow told our sports desk that the program is free of charge and is sponsored by Graceway IGA and the Graceway Sports Center. 

 

All primary school kids ages 8 and older are free to attend. Glasglow is inviting the school kids to sign up on January 11th at 9 am at the Graceway Sports Center. The President said parents can collect registration forms from the Graceway Sports Center from Ms Adina Ciurar or any PABA member.

 

Those members are Sydwell Glasglow, Keith Cox, Natalie Sweeting, Krystal Williams and Marie Glasglow.
