Cruise giant, Royal Caribbean International suspended calls at Labadee, its private destination in Haiti, through June 2027. Previously the line had canceled visits through the end of 2026.
Historically and according to recent company letters posted by travelers, substituted ports include Nassau, Perfect Day at CocoCay, Bimini, Grand Turk and Falmouth (Jamaica), Poncé (Puerto Rico), Samaná (Dominican Republic) and Grand Cayman.
Occasionally sea days have been substituted.
Cruises reportedly haven’t visited Labadee since first quarter 2025, following an eight-month hiatus in 2024.
The company said that the safety and well being of guests and crew members are most important.
The US Department of State last week reiterated its Level 4: Do Not Travel advisory for Haiti, which has been under a national state of emergency since March 2024.
