Barring of Sunrise airline to the TCI by ICAO, had nothing to do with the Airlines standards

Earlier this week, we shared with listeners a TCI SUN Newspaper article that “Haiti’s Sunrise Airlines was barred from flying to the TCI, after the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)  ruled the country’s standards, not up to par.

The airline’s operator, Phillipe Bayard in that article, was emphatic when he told the SUN last Friday, that barring of the airline to the TCI, had nothing to do with Sunrise Airlines standards, but rather Haiti’s own Civil Aviation Authority.

The head of TCI’s Civil Aviation Authority, Tom Swann, who expressed that the local CAA is happy with Sunrise Airline’s operational standard, also confirmed this.
