Officers of the Serious Crime Unit are currently at the scene of a suspected homicide.
Preliminary reports state shortly after 7 pm yesterday (December 09th), several calls were placed to the Police Control Room reporting gunshots being heard in the vicinity of Mary Jane Lane, Blue Hills.
Officers were dispatched and conducted checks. However, nothing suspicious was seen.
Shortly after 10 pm, the Police Control Room received calls of a body seen at the back of Dako Yard, Blue Hills.
Officers arrived at the location and saw a male on the ground motionless.
Investigators are probing whether this suspected homicide is linked to the reports of gunshots heard after 7 pm. The RTCIPF asks the public to notify the closest police station, contact 911, the Serious Crime Unit at 231-1842, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 to anonymously provide any information on illegal activities.
