Several Turks and Caicos Islands law enforcement professionals have graduated from a regional leadership programme in Jamaica.
Officers from the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force and the Turks and Caicos Islands Border Force were among those who successfully completed the 92nd Cohort of the Staff and Junior Command Course at the National Police College of Jamaica. The graduation ceremony was held on Friday, September 11th, 2026, bringing together middle managers and law enforcement professionals from across the Caribbean.
The programme focused on strengthening leadership and management skills, sharing best practices and building professional networks among regional law enforcement and security agencies. Commissioner of Police Fitz Bailey attended the graduation ceremony and delivered remarks congratulating the graduates on their commitment to professional excellence, leadership development and public service.
Among those receiving special recognition was Inspector Huntley Forbes Junior, Head of the RTCIPF Community Policing Unit.
Inspector Forbes successfully completed the programme and received two awards for outstanding academic performance and best oral presentation. Forbes says the programme provided an opportunity to learn alongside law enforcement leaders from across the Caribbean while strengthening regional partnerships to address shared public safety challenges.
Commissioner Bailey says leadership programmes such as the Staff and Junior Command Course are critical to preparing officers to meet the evolving demands of modern policing and public safety.
The RTCIPF says it remains committed to developing a future-ready workforce capable of delivering high-quality policing services to communities across the Turks and Caicos Islands.
