Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Government Support Services Mr. Russell Cox and Energy and Utilities Commissioner Mr. Malike Cummings will be in Aruba from October 9 to 11, 2013 for the Annual International Green Aruba Conference (GAIV) and the 5th Annual Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum (CREF).
CREF is the region’s largest conference on renewables and provides an opportunity for participants to meet the vast majority of stakeholders currently working on projects and initiatives in the Caribbean.
During the conferences Messers Cummings and Cox will:
· Meet with high-ranking government officials and senior utility executives and experts engaged in the energy efficiency and renewable energy field and
· Experience firsthand, Aruba’s progress in sustainable energy projects, programmes and initiatives.
They will also get the opportunity to forge new relationships and alliances with key decision-makers and players in the field to enhance and inform policy directives, regulatory framework and the TCI’s sustainable energy plans.
CREF was launched in 2009 and most visible forum in the Caribbean, focused exclusively on the development of renewable forms of energy in the Caribbean.
