Officers of the Serious Crime Unit of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force have charged 23-year-old United States resident Alex Julian Guzman.
Mr. Guzman of Wyoming, Michigan, appeared before the Supreme Court on May 05th charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition.
The particulars of the offense state that on Tuesday 25th April 2023, at the Providenciales International Airport, Turks and Caicos Islands, Mr. Guzman unlawfully had in his possession a firearm and ammunition without being the holder of a firearm license.
He was granted $20,000 bail with the following conditions:
1) One or two sureties or $20,000 cash;
2) Visit the Grace Bay Police Station every Wednesday between 8 am -5 pm;
3) Surrender Travel Documents.
A sufficiency hearing is scheduled for July 7th, 2023.
