Kevin Durant scored 37 points in leading the Golden State Warriors to a 119-106 victory over the Houston Rockets in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.
Golden State made a key run in the third quarter, turning a tie game at halftime into a 14-point lead. Houston got 41 points from James Harden, but the Rockets’ supporting cast struggled to hit three-pointers and missed several shots around the rim. Klay Thompson also had 28 points for the Warriors, and Stephen Curry had 18 points and eight assists.
Over in the east, Boston leads the Cavs, Lebron James and his team will tonight attempt tonight to move Cleveland forward as they suffered to 1 nil defeat on Sunday by a young Celtics team.
