The curtains closed match 22 of the Inter High School Boys Championship Finals at the National Stadium on Saturday, October 17, 2026, and it was the Stallions that galloped away with the title.

In a final that promised energy, hype and intensity, @hjrobinsonhighschool clipped the wings of the Eagles early and held on for a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Clement Howell High School (CHHS) from Blue Hills.

The Stallions wasted no time stamping their authority on the game, when number 11, Jepthe Delerice, struck in the 11th minute of the first half to give HJRHS the lead. That lone goal would prove to be the difference throughout the first half and at the end of regulations.

It was a heated and heavily-cautioned affair, with Clement Howell High School receiving the bulk of the cards in what appeared to be an intimidated performance against the Capital Stallions.

Cautions awarded to CHHS:
• #4 Jacob Black – Min 6 (Y)
• #7 Kemani Clayton – Min 30 (Y)
• #8 Waldens Derisse – Min 36 (R)
• #11 Nadio Vernal – Min 39 (Y)
• #17 Alfreddy Louima – Min 50 (Y)
• #17 Alfreddy Louima – Min 50+2 (R)

HJRHS:
• #11 Jepthe Delerice – Min 41

The two red cards for CHHS, including a second yellow-turned-red for Alfreddy Louima in the 50th minute, left the Eagles chasing the game with a numerical disadvantage.

Despite the pressure, the Stallions’ defense held firm to preserve the clean sheet and secure the championship.

RTC’s Sports Watch team and Sports on the Go sends congratulations to the coach, the MVP Jepthe Delerice and to Team Stallions on their championship triumph.

Special acknowledgements to the match officials Xavier Scott and Orville Ferguson who refereed the game, and to all Match Commissioners, especially A. Jacobs who oversaw the finals.
