Airport officials are describing as minor, an incident involving an Anguillan cargo plane at the Canefield airport this morning.

General Manager of the Dominica Air and Sea Port Authority (DAPSA) Bennoit Bardouille says the aircraft experienced landing issues however there was no damage.

“We had a small mishap with an aircraft at Canfield somewhere after10 am. On landing, a washer got torn and caused the right gear to collapse. The aircraft nonetheless was able to stay on the runway. We affected the necessary repairs and the aircraft, on its own power, was able to go through the earmark. The necessary reports were filed and the aircraft was cleared for takeoff,” he explained.

According to Bardouille the Pilot who was the only person on the aircraft was not hurt, neither did the “aircraft suffer any damage”.
