A large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms over the southwestern Caribbean Sea. This system is forecast to move northeast across the western and central Caribbean during the latter part of this week and has the potential to generate squally weather conditions, including periods of heavy rains and strong gusty winds, in the Turks and Caicos Islands over the weekend.
The Turks and Caicos Islands National Weather Service and the Department of Disaster Management and Emergencies will continue to monitor the progress of this system and will issue further updates accordingly. Residents in the Turks and Caicos Islands are strongly encouraged to monitor Advisories issued by the Turks and Caicos Islands National Weather Service and the Department of Disaster Management & Emergencies.
