The PABA league climaxed with an exciting game 4 of the best of five series which saw the GT Stallons crowned champions for a 3rd consecutive year.
The curtains came down on the league as the Stallions completed their 3 peat. The fans got their monies worth with spectacular plays by both teams. The Police Badgers fought valiantly but was outplayed on the boards with a score of 88-78 by the more experienced Stallions.
Saundro Germain scored 22 points, 7 rebounds with rookie player Melvin Elsie adding 16 points, 5 rebounds. Raymeko Smith chipped in 13 points, 2 rebounds & 4 steals but it was Tamaurrii Lightbourne who led the way with 27 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block and 3 steals. Rookie sensation from the capital, Enrico Smith added 13 points, 6 rebounds & 1 steal while Levenskay Missick scored 11 points, Kino Williams added 14 points and Marcus Lightbourne closed it out with 10 points, 16 rebounds and 2 steals.
Tamaurrii Lightbourne emerged as the finals MVP after leading his team in scoring during the playoffs and finals with a total of 132 points, 66 rebounds, 29 assists and 17steals.
He was followed closely by young and upcoming star player Enrico Smith with 93 points, 28 rebounds, 10 assists and 12 steals.
The teams and players will receive their awards during the first PABA award banquet which will be held at the. Tropicana Auditorium June 13th,2015 under the patronage of the Premier Honourable Dr. Rufus Ewing.
President Glasgow told our sports desk that the series was entertaining filled with life and energy, he particularly thanked the players for there dedication & support. In reference to the banquet, he told us that fans can contact any player or the league executives for tickets.
