The Bahamas Air Accident Investigation Authority (AAIA) has begun an investigation into an incident where a small aircraft veered off the runway at the Lynden Pindling International Airport. 

Initial reports said the Embraer E110 aircraft, was en route from Haiti when it experienced landing gear issues as it touched down at the Bahamian airport. The plane which slid off the runway came to rest in some nearby bushes.

At least 20 persons were on board the plane and there were no reports of injuries.
